Mike Madano has put aside his retirement plans after accepting a one year deal with the Detroit Red Wings. He had been playing for the Dallas Stars, but the forty year old’s performance and career was on a fading path for quite some time. “I was leaning toward retirement after the last two years took a lot out of me. But the Red Wings convinced me that a change of scenery would be good for me, and that helped me get my drive and passion back”, said the player in an interview to the Associated Press.
